說到相機技術的領頭羊，相信不少人第一時間想到的會是三大巨頭 Canon、Sony 與 nikon鏡頭收購nikon，然而，經典老品牌柯達卻在近年竄起！最新數據顯示，柯達擊敗多家大廠，在今年 4 月成為日本銷售市占第一名，靠的是復古熱潮的興起。
日本研調機構 BCN 統計 2024 年 4 月份日本通路的相機銷售數據，柯達以 22.5% 銷售市占奪得第一名，2021 年只有不到 5%，過去兩年大幅攀升，要歸功於 PIXPRO FZ55、PIXPRO FZ45 和 PIXPRO WPZ2 等小型數位相機，以不到 20,000 日圓（約 4,127 元）的售價，以及簡單好上手的特性，獲得消費者歡迎。

BCN 指出，僅管各大相機品牌已經把研發重心擺到無反微單眼相機，逐漸讓平價的的數位相機退出市場，隨身相機仍是有一定市場，又再加上復古熱潮興起，使一些平價、輕巧的隨身相機在社群媒體上獲得大量年輕客群關注，是柯達主要的成長動力。

除了柯達以外，以相機配件起家的 Kenko-Tokina 近年也獲得一定關注，在 4 月份市占率達到 6.9% 位居第五名，主要也是因為小型數位相機 KC-03TY，還有玩具相機而獲得關注。
Canon 目前排在第二名，擁有 20.2% 市占，除了入門款 EOS R50、R10 十分熱賣，同樣也受益於復古熱潮，讓旗下 IXY 650 成為日本該月份第六熱銷的機款，至於 Sony 則以 16.5% 排在第三名，第四名的是 10.5% 的富士。
